Decision-making in complex environments
My research asks a central question: How do people make decisions in complex environments? I study how the structure of information shapes economic choice and how moments of insight emerge during problem solving. Combining behavioural economics and cognitive neuroscience, I use controlled experiments, eyetracking, and neuroimaging to investigate the behavioural, cognitive, and neural processes underlying decision-making. Ultimately, my research seeks to understand both what shapes the decisions people make and how those decisions emerge over time.
